ABOUT THE BAND

In early February of 2026, five musicians who had never met before found themselves sharing the stage at a casual jam session in Naples, Florida. After a few songs, someone called out "Southbound" by the Allman Brothers Band.
They counted it off and started playing.
What happened next surprised everyone in the room. For five musicians with no history together, the chemistry was undeniable. The song felt less like a first meeting and more like a band that had been performing together for years.
When the song ended, guitarist Mark Basile turned to the group and asked, "Maybe we should put a band together. Are you guys interested?"
The answer was an immediate "Yes!".
A veteran of the Southern Rock scene, Mark has shared the stage with legends including Dickey Betts, Artimus Pyle, and Ed King. From the beginning, his vision for The 100 Proof Band was clear: deliver authentic, note-for-note recreations of the music while preserving the spirit, energy, and integrity that made these songs timeless.
The newly formed group quickly got to work. After assembling a song list and scheduling rehearsals, they held their first practice on March 3, 2026. In just seven weeks, with only five rehearsals under their belt, they learned more than a dozen songs and prepared a showcase performance.
On April 10, 2026, The 100 Proof Band took the stage before a sold-out crowd of more than 300 people. The response was overwhelming, confirming what the band had felt from that very first jam session: something special was happening.
Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them.
That's how The 100 Proof Band was born.
Today, The 100 Proof Band continues to honor the music of the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band, and other Southern Rock legends with the same passion and authenticity that brought them together on that Naples stage. Every performance is a tribute to the music, the musicians who created it, and the fans who continue to keep it alive.
